Battle: LA
D+
(let's hope there are no sequels!)
The trailer is completely misleading for this movie. You think from the music and the editing this is going to be some epic story but it falls completely short. The movie goes from 0 to a 10 within five minutes of the opening credits and you are thrust into the non-stop "battle" with the aliens. I lost count of the inspirational pep talks given by Aaron Eckhart in the film. In no way do you get answers of why the aliens are there, who they are and what's going on in the rest of the world. I also didn't understand the marine's mission. It seemed pretty ridiculous. I wanted more answers. This movie is literally the battle in LA, which is why I think there just might be sequels. While I'm on my rant, I am sick of Michelle Rodriguez playing the same character. I didn't like her in Lost, she was kinda cool in Avatar but now she's just getting on my nerves.

What was great about this movie was not letting Chris know what movie we were seeing till the movie title came up on the screen. Totally worth the 116 minutes for me to show Chris some love and seeing a total boy movie.
