Cecily's alone time

I take a nap about every other day while Asher takes his nap. Cecily doesn't like to nap with me so I let her stay up and play the computer or watch a movie. Her and Jocelyn enjoy making movies of themselves and Cecily enjoys it more when she can practice her singing voice alone. In this video we take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Star wars kid meets Britney Spears fanatic if you will.

ps: She named her computer self Scarlett. Listen for her to whisper it.

***Although this was filmed in the same day the crying part is actually while I was taking a shower. She was filming herself throwing puddles and he landed on the decorative shelves. She came to my bathroom door sobbing so I got out and went to see what was wrong since she was crying so hard. She showed me where puddles was and I told her she had to wait for dad to get it and went back to shower. She was pretty upset so she filmed herself.

39 Weeks

Friday is always my check up days at the doctor. Everything is still looking good and the numbers are almost 3 and fully effaced. She said "if I don't see you this weekend we'll see you next week" I hate when they say stuff like that, but I refused to get my hopes up.
That night Chris and I went on one last date and of course something had to happen for our plans to fall apart. During dinner at a super yummy greek place I got this INTENSE, sharp pain in my lower right side/stomach. I couldn't move, I couldn't sit, I couldn't walk it was so painful and concentrated in this one area. When a second brother had his appendix taken out I had asked him what to look for and he told me intense pain in my right side. So the crazy brained lady I am thought I was having an appendicitis. So I called Rocky and he told me what it's like so I ruled that out. Then I called my doc cause for as much pain as I was in I wanted it to mean something. Well, she said gas which I don't think it was cause I know what that feels like. Chris made me take 3 Tylenol which I NEVER do and then 30 minutes later it dulled down to nothing and a date ruined. We had missed the movie so we went and walked around Target and Babies R Us just so we didn't have to go home and enjoy our time alone together.

I'm not having any contractions, and that's ok. Chris packed the suitcases, I got everything ready for when my mom comes and we're just waiting for this little princess to come. She's making some funky movements I've never felt before which is... interesting. I always go into labor in the middle of the night so I'm hoping that will happen. My mom comes in at midnight on Thursday and I can't wait!

I know I promised this funny video of Cecily but I haven't finished editing it yet. It'll be worth the wait I promise. And I did finish A Tale of Two Cities and I do have a cast list I'm just lazy. But I did start a book called Unwind and it's pretty cool. My next book will be Uncle Tom's Cabin cause it's the same as A Tale of Two Cities one of those books I've started 3 times and never got past the first chapter.

I don't see much difference in the 11 day difference in these two photos. Chris says I'm lower now, but I'm thinking I might not have lined up the pictures good enough and I'm wearing different shirts.

Crepes equals a perfect day

I'm putting this out there for all the world to know that Chris loves me more. Well, maybe we still tie but for Mother's Day he totally won. I gladly admit that Chris knows me the best. How I know that is 1. He made me crepes all day long. Different kids too and totally knocked my socks off. 2. He managed to get me everything I asked for by doing trade. What a dream! I feel like all I did was sleep and eat all day and it was perfection.

Breakfast in Bed

Ham and Swiss spinach crepe with hollandaise sauce and a poached egg. And a fruit and cream filled crepe. Soooooooooo good!

I then went to church with the girls (Ash was a NIGHTMARE with a runny nose, cough and I'm assuming sore throat) I was surprised this ward didn't do anything. Especially coming from Solomon ward that goes all out with dessert or lunch during relief society. I survived church and came home. Chris had cleaned the kitchen and made me my favorite Sunday lunch of tuna melts. I then took a two hour nap and got up in time to find Chris preparing dinner. I helped him this time around by cooking the crepes for dinner. I'm not sure what the name of this crepe dinner is but it was SOOOOOOO good. It had chicken, swiss, sun dried tomatoes and some awesome gravey/sauce and green beans with bacon and pine nuts.

Waiting for dinner Asher entertained us...

and here are some flowers the girls picked from the yard that grew randomly.

So then for dessert Chris made nutella and cream cheese filled crepes. It was so delicious I can't stop thinking about it.

After dinner Chris told me I had to get dressed up cause I was going to have a little party on video chat. I didn't know what to expect and then he told me it was with his mom and then right before the chat he told me his mom and sisters were throwing me a little baby shower. When it was all over I felt like I had just got done having a shopping spree in an expensive boutique. Everything was homemade and so adorable I can't wait to see what Peaches is going to look like in it all. Thanks again sisters!!!

So it was probably the best mother's day ever. The only thing missing was giving my momma and Chris's momma a big hug.

BEST HUSBAND AWARD GOES TO CHRIS! {he's so happy!}

COMING SOON: My movie case and book review of A Tale of Two Cities. And a special video production by Cecily.

38 Weeks

Well, forget the whole 37 weeks update I'm just going to do 38 weeks. Again, I'm visualizing myself going into labor on the 21st so I'm sticking with calling today 38 weeks instead of waiting till Sunday. I just got back from my doc appointment and the numbers are 2 and 70% (those who care will know what it means) He said well, you could go into labor and the cranky pregnant lady that I am mummbled, "no I won't." I always go to term so there's no point in getting my hopes up... right?

Baby peaches is moving around like CRAZY, which is hard cause she's so big now. Instead of little tickles it feels like my insides are bursting out of my body. The other day I was inspecting a noise and had my hand resting on my stomach, she kicked it and it scared me! Seriously, like someone jumping out from behind me and shouting "Boo!".

I'm basically miserable because my back hurts so bad and if my back isn't hurting I'm having some crazy braxon hicks contraction that's squeezing my stomach to a pancake. At nighttime I welcome the stomach squeezing because it takes my mind off my restless leg. I've found that taking a super long steamy hot shower is the best fix for all of the above.

Heartburn. I know I've already complained about this but it's gotten worse. EVERYTHING gives me heartburn and I'm downing the tums like crazy. As Chris put it "this baby better come out with braids" cause you know the myth that heartburn = lots o hair.

The top 2009 baby names were released today and that was fun going over the list. They break it down into the top 1000 names. Just something interesting to me, here are the names we are thinking and their ranking. {Call me a nerd but I like following baby name trends}.

Fiona
2000 =  460
2008 = 347
2009 = 313
GOOD!

Scarlett
2000 = 941
2008 = 210
2009 = 169
OKAY

Harper
(not even on the top 1000 names till 2004)
2004 = 887
2008 = 296
2009 = 174
VERY BAD

LAURA
2000 = 85
2008 = 215
2009 = 235
VERY GOOD!!

Till next Friday...

Asher and his haircut

So I think it was last weeks post that I said "coming soon: Asher's haircut"... yeah, it was. So that was a Tuesday and that Monday Chris realized Asher's hair was actually looking more like a mullet and less awesome. Tuesday morning I set out to get stuff for baby, and get Asher a haircut. He did a good job as long as I let him spray me in the face with water and I think the lady at great clips did a decent job (except the front part that I want to spike like Chris's is a little too long). I think he looks so much better cleaned up. What say you?

We also had our first picnic outside for dinner since moving here. I can't even tell you how beautiful it is. I promise I'm not rubbing it in or anything I'm just so grateful to be living where I have been dying to live since I was a teenager. There are baby bunnies running around our yard now and it's so freakin' cute! And just this morning while cleaning up all the trash that blew out of the fallen trash can from the CRAZIEST WIND EVER I saw a group of super cute yellow tulips.

Just for fun here's another picture of my Ashman. He's riding this horse. Which is funny cause the shirt he's wearing says "Mr. Mischievous". Thanks Savers.

Coming soon: My 37 week checkup. I'm almost done!

Feeling creeped out

A couple weeks ago Chris enrolled a student. While they were chatting they figured out that this student lives a couple houses away from us. Chris didn't give him our address but told him what street we were on and then the guy says "I'm right around the corner!" Fast forward a week and the student calls Chris and tells him (and this has nothing to do with the story but just adds to the picture) that him and his girlfriend are living with her dad. Together they have two kids together and then she has 3 kids from 3 other dads. Her dad has custody of a couple of them and told the daughter that she had to get a hysterectomy or he's going to call the authorities on her. CRAZY! So the dad is kicking them out of his house and so the student can no longer go to school right now. So after the bad news he asks Chris "what kind of car do you drive" so Chris told him, and then the student says, "I was walking around at 3am this morning trying to figure out which house was yours."
WHAT?!
So I felt a little uncomfortable that the guy knows our street name and knows Chris's car. CREEPY. So while I was getting over these creepy feelings I made my springtime blog entry. About an hour after posting it I noticed I had a new follower. SWEET! So I went to look to see who it was and it was some guy named Peter. I know NO ONE named Peter, so I looked at what other blogs he follows and he follows about 15 other "mommy" type blogs. I couldn't remember how to block someone so I decided the next best thing would be to go private since I was toying with the idea anyway.

I'm saving the pictures I have for posts this week. But here is one I meant to put in my springtime post. Cecily is our family's Monet. Isn't this picture beautiful?! (It was a little too big to fit on my scanner so it cut off her name).
