March 9 Chris and I took a nice vacation to Arizona to say goodbye to Chelsea and Mitch (moved to Virgina for Marine stuff). I never thought I would say "I vacationed to Arizona" in my life. Hopefully next time it will be to Italy. It was a lovely trip. Trying to find the cheapest flight home (Colorado home) I accidentally purchased the wrong date. So instead of staying a week the kids and I stayed for two. We had to pay a bit more for Chris's flight home for the original day we were supposed to go home. We stayed a week at Chris's parents house and then I stayed a week at my parents house. The kids ran wild with cousins and cried when it was time to come home.I wasn't awesome at taking pictures of everything. I didn't even get a picture with Chelsea before she left! But here's what I got...The kids were SUPER excited to go on an airplane (despite what Cecily's face is telling you). We talked about it everyday till the actual flying day.

Chris had the genius idea of getting a harness for Asher and it worked out great cause this is what we did for the 2 hour wait till we got to board the plane.
We spent the Saturday day with the Lovells, the best friends anyone could ask for, at the Renaissance Festival. Great company, but we wish we ditched the kids and had an adult playdate instead. I got fried.
Saturday night was Chelsea's goodbye party so we got to see the whole extended family which is always fun. Jocelyn and Cecily used my camera to take pictures. Here are some of my favs that they got.
Monday evening Chris left and it was a sad night. Asher cried most of the way back to my parents house. I loved staying at Chris's parents house because Ash-man always had a guy around he could hit or try to wrestle. He loved playing with Papa and his uncles and boy cousins. He did get out of the front door 3 times. Once a neighbor came and knocked on the door asking if he belonged to this house. I nearly threw up when Chris's mom walked in with him and told me.
The girls loved playing with Jenny and Leyani all week. Emotions ran high 1/2 of the time, the other half I didn't talk to them for hours at a time.
I can't remember what day it was but it was warm enough that my siblings and a couple nieces decided it was time to swim. They didn't let Asher in the swimming area and Asher was literally bummed out that he couldn't go swimming. Probably the most pitiful thing I have ever seen.
Asher got some time to bond with my dad. He went on wheel-barrow rides and since Dillon and my Dad are the only men in the house he made sure he was always around one of them.
That's basically it as far as the pictures go. I spent the time home stressed out about my statistics class and getting to visit with my in-laws and siblings. It's always nice to visit home and feel like I never left. Monday was a stressful day before I left. Thank goodness my dad works for Mesa Air and got to come with me to the gate to help with the kids. I was so grateful for him because the flight ended up being delayed an hour and Asher would NOT go to sleep. The flight was a nightmare because he never went to sleep and I had him screaming at me that he had to be in a seatbelt and Jocelyn crying because she had to sit alone and that she missed Jenny. I made it though, and I cried in the car on the way home. Chris gave me the next day off being a mom and I got to sleep and relax to my hearts content.

Being home almost a week now I miss home all over again but I feel like I've got back into the swing of things again. I got a lot more posts to make. Asher's birthday, pregnancy complaints, huge snow storm, all the good stuff. I'm toying with the idea of going private too so stay tuned.
