Easter {ranch style}

Chris and the girls got Good Friday off so we decided to head out of town to the mountains. After a million conversations with the kids that 2.5 hours compared to 20 hours is not that long of a drive, and that the Easter bunny will still be visiting us we had the kids (Jocelyn) convinced it was going to be a blast!

***side sotry: I went easter bunny shopping Tuesday night and left it on the table. Forgetting Jocelyn wakes up at the crack of dawn. Chris got up to run and saw Jocelyn eating cereal right next to my bags of candy and presents. She didn't ask any questions till Thursday, and on Sunday she looked like she was thinking pretty hard about the whole "easter bunny conspiracy".

Friday was spent hiking, playing, puzzles, reading, eating, sleeping, and it was gloriously windy and cold there was a lot of cuddling going on too!

The Lovells joined us Saturday afternoon just in time for dutch oven chicken and biscuits. We had a blast hanging out and talking, playing games and not even worrying about the kids playing for hours outside. Easter was cold and cloudy and laid back. Don't you think Ammon should get glasses like Chris?

It was the perfect trip and I can't wait to go again!
