Wednesday Chris went off to work even though it was snowing then at 11am he burst through the front door announcing he was sent home for a snow day! It snowed ALL DAY Wednesday and all night. Thursday it LIGHTLY snowed but he got to have another snow day. The girls, especially Jocelyn, LOVED to play in the snow. They played for hours and we did a good job dressing them cause they stayed dry and warm the whole time. I think I heard total we got 18 inches? But I don't know!

Friday was the Fort Collins tiny tot Halloween trick or treat in downtown. UOP had a little table set up and handed out candy so me and the kids got dressed up and went down to trick or treat. It was FREEZING but the kids had a blast! Because of the event Chris got a half day so I had him to myself for almost a full week! I didn't get any pictures because of said freezing cold conditions. (but we got a lot of candy!)
Saturday was a splendid, low key Halloween. Usually we visit both Nana's and both of Chris's Grandma's and then try to get some trick or treating in. Here we carved our pumpkin, made cinnamon rolls and pigs n' blankets then went trick or treating. Jocelyn LOVED it, I wanted to see how long she could go but Cecily was so pokey and the distance between houses was great and we had to call it quits after an hour. The people in our neighborhood were so generous with their candy that for the amount of houses we hit we got a ton of candy. When we got home we had hot coco and watched Halloween Town.

{The pumplin was designed by our own artist Jocelyn}

We're told that the amount of snow we got is really January weather, they are just expecting a really harsh winter this year. I'm ok with that if it means more snow days with Chris.
Chris and I got callings on Sunday. Chris is in 11 year old scouts and I was called to CTR 8. Right now I'm working with an amazing little old lady who is pretty much amazing and I have 4 kids, two of which are INSANE, so that will be fun. Asher got kicked out of nursery because the appearance of a runny nose. It's like a nazi nursery cause it's cold and everyone I see is sniffling. Oh well, Chris had fun chilling with him in the halls.
I get to visit Mesa Friday for my cousin's wedding and then I'll be home in time to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary (stay tuned for a kick-A awesome blog entry)and talk in church on Sunday.
HOPE YOU HAD A HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

That is a insane amount of snow! Have fun learning to drive in it. I'm excited to see you on friday, even though it will only be maybe an hour.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! That is crazy!!! I always wished we had "hot days" in AZ and could stay home cause its too hot to leave the house. Shoveling that driveway looks painful.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you and Chris dress up as!?
Crazy snow, it makes me cold just looking at it. I love Cecily's big warm costume. And Jocelyn looks so cute with her hair done up and those super cool tights. I love her cute smile. I think she is one of the only kids that still looks so cute with her missing teeth. Addy is awaiting they day she will loose hers. One is just a bit wiggly, so who knows.
